Over this time, I have amassed a wealth of experience as well as a love of traditional crafts and materials; learning from many highly skilled craftspeople and academics, and working on some of the most famous sites in the UK and beyond- including Kenilworth Castle and Blenheim Palace, as well as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Avebury and Pompeii. I have a particular interest in domestic and vernacular buildings, and have worked on many industrial, urban, and rural buildings across England and Wales. Away from this work, I continue to teach (and learn) at a wide range of institutions, and can often be found at the University of Oxford where I run courses in the historic environment through the Department of Continuing Education.
